Why we built this.

RokoTMIDI started from a simple need: to practice at home without noise, but with the true feel of a real instrument under your fingers. We did not want a toy-like controller. We wanted authentic button feel and a reliable response that supports serious playing.

Prototyping took around a year and a half. After that, we focused on the enclosure design to create a clean, refined look while keeping the device compact enough for travel.

No. Button presses currently send fixed velocity values to keep the response consistent and predictable in both practice and live performance.
No. The hardware layout is fixed at 6 rows and 4 octaves. This keeps the instrument compact while preserving the core B- and C-system playing range.
No. RokoTMIDI is a MIDI controller and does not generate audio. Connect it to a computer, sound module, keyboard, or app—the sound comes from that external device or software.
The buttons require approximately 60 g of actuation force, giving a firm and controlled feel under the fingers.
Button travel is 4 mm, providing clear tactile feedback and stable control during faster passages.
